Introductory Flight

Introductory Flights are a fantastic way to try gliding, and make a perfect gift. However, they may not be right for everyone. Please read the following notes carefully.

CRITERIA TO FLY

BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE PURCHASE OF THE INTRODUCTORY FLIGHT, IT IS IMPORTANT FOR FLIGHT SAFETY REASONS THAT THE INTENDED RECIPIENT (THE PILOT) MEETS THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA, AT THE TIME OF THE FLIGHT:

☑️ Height (between 1.52-1.88m)

☑️ Weight (maximum 95kg when dressed for flying)

☑️ Agility (able to get in & out of a bath unaided)

☑️ General health (you should be reasonably fit)

☑️ Other (you must be able to hear & follow instructions)

BUYING AS A GIFT?

If the voucher is for a gift, please tell us the recipient’s name in the Name of Pilot box at the bottom of this page.

BUYING MORE THAN ONE VOUCHER?

Sorry, but it isn’t currently possible to buy multiple vouchers in one transaction. This is because we need to capture each persons’s details separately – which is especially important for a gift.

If you want to book more than one Introductory Flight, please repeat and complete the purchase process for each voucher, making sure to enter the relevant pilot’s name below, each time.

DELIVERY OF THE VOUCHER

The voucher will be delivered via e-mail to the purchaser, based on the billing details provided at checkout.  It is important that you book your visit with us after you have received your voucher.  Please telephone or email the club using the details provided on the voucher so that we can arrange a mutually convenient time and date for you to take your flight or flights.  For operational reasons and so that you have an opportunity to settle in, we will normally book you in for a morning or an afternoon slot.

LEGAL STUFF

By proceeding to purchase the Introductory Flight, you are acknowledging that the recipient is eligible and satisfies all of our criteria to fly (above), and you accept the Terms and Conditions of purchase.

If, having made the purchase, the pilot (i.e. the voucher holder) does not satisfy the Criteria to Fly at the time of flying, they will not be able to fly and you will not be eligible for a refund.
